November 2021 Diversity Calendar: Heritage Months and Holidays

November is Native American Heritage Month, which is also known as Indigenous People’s Month and American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month.

The year presents multiple opportunities to honor diverse communities and cultures. Established by President George H. W. Bush through a joint resolution, November was declared “National American Indian Heritage Month” in 1990. Everyspace encourages our community leaders to engage their members through events and posts that can acknowledge both the history and contributions of Native Americans.

November 20: Transgender Day of Remembrance – a day to memorialize those murdered as a result of transphobia
